Experience

Jan 2023 – Present: Teacher | ILA/Atlantic, Danang

• Currently employed as a part-time teacher at ILA
• Serving additional role at Atlantic in the Supplementary English Program, conducting lessons during the day at Tran Phu and Thai Phien Highschool
• Seeking opportunities for increased work hours in the evenings

May 2020 – Dec 2022: Senior Teacher | ILA Hanoi

During this period I worked as a Senior Teacher for ILA. Please note that at that time I was working in our Public-School Program as well as regular centerclasses. My experience in this role was characterised by:

• Interviewing and training teaching and TA candidates.
• Assisting in the transition to online-teaching in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
• Assessing teaching performances as well as creating and overseeing teacher development plans.
• Creating course content and hosting monthly workshops for teachers and teaching assistants alike.
• Facilitating co-planning and activity-sharing sessions.
• Enforcing disciplinary procedures.
• Undergoing various training and professional development qualifications, most notably becoming an SAT instructor through The Princeton Review.

Jan 2019 – Jan 2020: Co-Founder and Manager/ Teacher | Self Employed/ILA Hanoi

In addition to working part-time at ILA, I co-founded a small English center in Cau Giay – working to provide affordable and accessible IELTS classes to local students. The scope of my responsibilities were to:

• Work closely with my co-founder to bring in students and create a balanced curriculum – based on the Mindset IELTS coursebooks.
• Facilitate engaging and unique lessons aimed specifically at speaking and writing skills.
• Handle administrative tasks and oversee student growth

May 2017 – Jan 2019: Teacher | ILA/IME Hanoi

During this period I worked as a teacher at ILA as well as IME English School. I was new to teaching and during this time I:

• Moved between school and center classes.
• Worked specifically with young-learners and the Cambridge system (Starters, Movers, Flyers).
• Often took on cover-classes. Working in various schools and kindergartens in Hanoi.
• Began my training as an IELTS teacher, attended regular teacher training and professional development workshops.
