Course objectives:
- Build a foundation: vocabulary, grammar structures and English reflexes
- Develop basic communication skills in the office environment, communicate basic English topics
- Standardize English pronunciation, confidently communicate with foreign customers
- Students achieve output level: Level A2 Speaking
Class organization form:
- Offline classes are held at the Enterprise, or at the EIV Office, or at the location requested by the Enterprise
- Online classes are held on online tools via the MyEIV learning system, Google Meet or Zoom
Course duration:
The course is taught by 50% Vietnamese Teachers – 50% Native Teachers, or 70% Vietnamese Teachers – 30% Native Teachers depending on the students’ input level and the training needs of the Enterprise.

The course includes 2 stages with the topics:
- Stage 1 (30hours): Daily Communication at Work
+ Self-introduction and networking at work
+ Company profile: Building, department and facilities
+ Welcoming a visitor
+ Talking about routines, schedule and work requests
Project: Role-play a workplace visit
- Stage 2 (30h): Procedure and Project
+ Talking about working procedure
+ Dealing with problems and complaints
+ Giving feedback to an update of the team/ a presentation/ a solution
+ Comparing and presenting your choice
Project: Giving a mini presentation to compare 2 products
English Skills:
- Communication skills: Improving pronunciation of key business terms, Engaging in small talk, Active listening and responding, Expressing opinions, Asking for clarification, Agreeing/Disagreeing
- Grammar: Using polite phrases and modal verbs, acknowledge of Present+Past+Future Tenses, Expanding workplace vocabulary
- Writing skills: Composing simple and clear messages,
Business Skills: Effective greetings, Building rapport, Composing emails, Sharing work-related information, Task Management, Communication in Meetings, Phone conversations

Classroom testing and management:
- Mid-term test: after finishing 30 hours of study, students will take a test in the form of a project or a short presentation, simulating a situation.
- The final test includes a paper test and a communication skills test. With the paper test, students are assessed on Listening – Comprehension skills, tested on vocabulary and sentence structure usage, and writing skills. With the communication skills test, native teachers will directly grade the test; students will take the test in the form of an oral interview with the teacher, or make a short presentation, simulating a situation.
